On Thursday, January 16, 2025, the Dean of the Scientific Research Center (Prof. Dr. Shirzad Sabri Ali) held two seminars for research center directors along with a group of researchers, then with the University Council. During these two seminars, the Dean of the Center presented a proposed structure for the Scientific Research Center Council and discussed the center's plans and activities. After extensive discussions with all participants in both meetings, it was agreed that the Scientific Research Center Council would consist of a Dean and an Vice- Dean, and would include three main departments, which are as follows:

1- Humanities and Educational Sciences Research Department.

2- Pure and Applied Sciences Research Department.

3- Health and Biomedical Sciences Research Department.

It was also decided to appoint a department head for each of these three departments to supervise the research that falls within their field of specialization. On the other hand, the Scientific Research Center's Board of Directors will establish the necessary policies and guidelines for organizing and developing the level of scientific research at the University of Duhok.
